BECKIE

Beckie este co-fondatoare și administrator al HELP. Ea a lucrat în sectorul caritabil de câțiva ani și s-a oferit voluntar pentru organizații de caritate cu sediul în Sri Lanka, Uganda, Congo și Marea Britanie. Ea a studiat Dezvoltarea Internațională prin Universitatea Cambridge și Universitatea Deschisă, în jurul valorii de a fi părinte singur pentru un copil cu nevoi suplimentare. Ea aduce echipei experiență în sensibilizare și strângere de fonduri.

Activities Manager

Oksana is our Caseworker on the Homes for Ukraine Scheme at H.E.L.P. She has many years experience of working and living in England with her family. She is a kind and helpful member of the team, who speaks Russian, Arabic and English.
LAREB
Employment Adviser

Lareb runs the EON (Employability for Overseas Nationals) Project funded by the UK Government and International Recruitment East, based at HELP charity full-time. She speaks 5 languages. She can help with anything employment related such as training, CVs, work experience, courses and job applications.
Ola is our Activities Co-ordinator at H.E.L.P. She has a law degree and many years experience of volunteering with local charities. She enjoys cooking and is good at making people feel welcome and at ease. A mum of two active boys, she is hard working and speaks both Arabic and English.
KSENIA
Caseworker

Ksenia is a Caseworker on the Homes for Ukraine Scheme at H.E.L.P. She has come to the UK recently from Ukraine with her children. She speaks both Ukrainian and English. She can assist you with lots of things such as registering with schools, doctors, applying for UC or homelessness.
AMY
ESOL Teacher

Amy is our qualified ESOL teacher. She has extensive experience in a variety of areas including PR and writing as well as a degree in English. She is teaching all our English classes for 'speakers of other languages' who are learning English to integrate into the community.

Amanda is on a long-term placement supporting our service users with individual counselling therapy, particularly helping with those who have experienced traumatic events.
Donna is a highly experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) with over 20 years of experience assisting people with additional needs. She is trauma trained and has a passion for helping refugees.

TRANDAFIR

As well as being a trustee for HELP, Moe works with young people at Peterborough College. He is also a talented children's entertainer and volunteers his time for charity events.
LYNNE

Lynn has many years experience of working with refugees as a therapist/ counsellor for the charity Refugee Council. Now she continues with providing supervision for other counsellors. She has been involved in City of Sanctuary steering work in Peterborough and many voluntary roles for refugee wellbeing.
Rose are peste 10 ani de experiență de lucru cu o gamă variată de organizații caritabile din Marea Britanie și Cambodgia, inclusiv gestionarea unui serviciu de consiliere pentru refugiați și migranți vulnerabili. Pe lângă faptul că este administrator HELP, ea lucrează și este voluntară cu Citizens Advice și serviciile pentru refugiați din Crucea Roșie Britanică. Ea are o licență în psihologie și un master în teoria și practica drepturilor omului.
KAMILA

Kamila is a law graduate, with experience of working with refugee families. As well as being a HELP trustee, she has lived experience of coming from Afghanistan and settling into life in the UK. She speaks Farsi and English.
MAHMOUD

As well as a trustee, Mahmoud has experience of being a refugee and raising his family in the UK. He is a successful businessman, a father and has experience of living and working in Peterborough. He speaks Arabic and English, as well as taking an active interest in our football team.
VOLUNTEERS
We have a great team of volunteers who help with a range of activities... such as in the office, with bike repairs, with translation, setting up and running events, teaching sewing, face-painting, being Santa at Christmas!
CASE STUDY - BILAL

Bilal is a dedicated and hard working volunteer, who helps service users with forms and with office administration including website design and maintenance. He has lived experience of being a refugee and raising his family in Peterborough. He speaks English and Urdu. Bilal is also a BBC Make a Difference Award winner!
