HELP  Greatest Hits Radio

We have contributed many times to their news section, to give a balanced and more accurate picture of life in the UK for refugees. Yesterday we contributed to national news with Greatest Hits Radio, one of our service users Mohammed kindly recorded his feeling about receiving a Rwanda 'letter of intent' from the Home Office. HELP  with BBC Radio

At Christmas time, BBC Cambridgeshire supported us with promoting our gift giving campaign several times, then came along to our Christmas party to report on the Gift Giving celebration on the 15th December. Here is our Outreach Manager and Activities Manager with the presenter from BBC Cambridgeshire.

HELP  BBC cover housing campaigning

We are actively involved in campaigning for positive change in Peterborough, with Peterborough Citizens. Here we were involved in the campaign for more affordable housing and prevention of homelessness. Below you can click to read the BBC article.

HELP  with Coronation parade

Our lovely sewing tutor Fatima and the ladies in the sewing group at HELP, joined together to create a 25m long flag for the King's Coronation, at the request of the City Council. See below the Newspaper article about it.

HELP  Bikes Volunteer Award

Tim our bike volunteer was nominated for an award, we went along to support him at the BBC Make a Difference Awards evening. See below the BBC news article.

HELP  Ukrainian 1st year Vigil

We got involved in creating a huge flag for the 1st Year anniversary of the war in Ukraine. The community came together in the central square to mark the occsasion with candles and the 25m flag. Local newspaper article below.

HELP  Heart Radio

For refugee week (June 2023) we spoke with Heart Radio about refugee experiences and our activities to celebrate and mark the occasion. Our contribution was used in the News played across East Anglia. 

HELP  Project O (Key Theatre)

Our service users got involved in contributing to the show's research, giving their experiences and stories for use in the show. We had a fundraiser before the show and then charity staff and service users enjoyed being part of the audience. 

HELP  Greatest Hits Radio

In May 2023, Greatest Hits Radio came to interview our staff and volunteers about the work and activities going on at HELP charity.
